Joseph P. Brandon

Chief Executive Officer since December 2021 and President since April 2021, was Executive Vice President from March 2012 to April 2021 and consultant to Alleghany from September 2011 to March 2012. Mr. Brandon was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of General Re Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway Inc., from 2001 to 2008. Mr. Brandon is a graduate of The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Kerry J. Jacobs

Executive Vice President since April 2021 and Chief Financial Officer since July 2019, was Senior Vice President from July 2019 to April 2021, Chief Risk Officer from October 2014 to January 2021 and Vice President – Finance from March 2014 to June 2019. From May 2013 to February 2014, Ms. Jacobs was Vice President, Global Revenue at Gerson Lehrman Group. Prior to that, Ms. Jacobs was a Vice President at the Investment Banking division of Deutsche Bank Securities in the Financial Institutions Group, where she was employed since 2008. Previously, from 2003 to 2006, Ms. Jacobs was employed by DaimlerChrysler Financial Services in Germany. Ms. Jacobs is a graduate of Wesleyan University and New York University Leonard N. Stern School of Business.

Christopher K. Dalrymple

Executive Vice President (from April 2023), General Counsel (from July 2009) and Secretary (from January 2011), was Senior Vice President from January 2012 and Vice President, Associate General Counsel and Assistant Secretary from March 2002. Prior to that, Mr. Dalrymple was in-house counsel at Everest Broadband Networks and Interliant, Inc. From 1996 to 2000, Mr. Dalrymple was an associate in the law firm of Dewey Ballantine LLP. He is a member of the American Bar Association and a graduate of Colgate University and Cornell University Law School.

Natalya Anbinder

Vice President – Controller since January 2022, was Assistant Vice President – Accounting from April 2012 to January 2022 and Accounting Manager since April 2007. Prior to joining Alleghany, Ms. Anbinder was at Merrill Lynch, where she most recently served as Assistant Vice President in Private Equity Finance for the Global Markets and Investment Banking Division. Previously, Ms. Anbinder was employed at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. and Chase Investment Bank, prior to its acquisition by J.P. Morgan. She holds an undergraduate degree from The City University of New York and a MBA from Touro Graduate School of Business.

Jerry G. Borrelli

Vice President — Finance and Chief Accounting Officer since July 2006 and Vice President — Finance since February 2006, was Director of Financial Reporting for American International Group, Inc. since 2003, and prior to that, Director of Accounting Policy and Special Projects since 2000. Mr. Borrelli is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a graduate of Susquehana University.

Stela Burghart

Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer since April 2014 and Associate General Counsel and Assistant Secretary since April 2012. Prior to that, from 2007 to March 2012, Ms. Burghart was an associate in the law firm of Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP. Ms. Burghart is a graduate of Columbia University and Duke University School of Law.

John Carr

Vice President — Tax Director since April 2007 and prior to joining Alleghany, was Vice President and Tax Director for the Quanta Insurance Group. Prior to that, Mr. Carr was Vice President of Chubb Financial Solutions, Inc., the financial services unit of The Chubb Corporation. Mr. Carr is a member of the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Connecticut Bar Association. Mr. Carr is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and the University of Connecticut Law School.

Dale James

Vice President – Corporate Finance since February 2020 and Chief Risk Officer since January 2021, was Assistant Vice President – Corporate Finance from August 2019 to February 2020. Prior to joining Alleghany, Mr. James was at Goldman Sachs since 2014, where he most recently served as a Vice President in its Investment Banking Division. Mr. James is a CFA® charterholder and a FRM® charterholder. He holds an undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science from the University of the West Indies (Jamaica) and a MBA from Columbia Business School.

Kenneth (Ken) Brandt

President and Chief Executive Officer of Transatlantic Holdings, Inc. (“TransRe”) since May 2021, was Co-President of Global Underwriting of TransRe from January 2020 to May 2021, and was President of the Americas, which includes US Broker, US Custom, Canada, Bermuda, Latin America and the Caribbean teams, from 2016 to 2020. Mr. Brandt joined TransRe in 2006 to establish the US Custom Team. Mr. Brandt started his reinsurance career at Employers Reinsurance Corporation (subsequently GE Insurance Solutions) in 1993 as a facultative underwriter, held a number of management positions in the US and Germany, and was President of the Americas & Asia Pacific Division prior to joining TransRe. He is a graduate of San Jose State University.

Phillip S. McCrorie

Chief Executive Officer of RSUI Group since January 2022. Was President of RSUI from July 2019 to December 2021 and was Executive Vice President from April 2012. He joined RSUI in October 2003 as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to RSUI, he was Senior Vice President of Finance for Axis Specialty in Atlanta and has held senior financial positions at Gulf Insurance, United Capitol Insurance and Van-American Insurance Company. Mr. McCrorie holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Auburn University and a Masters of Arts in Finance from the University of Alabama. He holds a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter certification and has completed the AICPU/Wharton School Insurance Executive Development Program.

Adam Sills

President and Chief Executive Officer of CapSpecialty, Inc. since September 2022. Was Head of Specialty Underwriting from September 2019 to August 2022, and has held a variety of underwriting leadership positions since joining CapSpecialty in 2013. From 2005 to 2013, Mr. Sills worked at Allied World Assurance Company Holdings, AG where he held a number of management positions, the last one being Vice President, Errors and Omissions. He started his insurance career as a D&O underwriter at Travelers. He is a graduate of Cornell University.
